Procivis has positioned itself as a leading solution provider for decentralized digital identities and credentials in Switzerland and Europe – with solutions for eIDAS 2.0, the Swiss E-ID ecosystem and much more.

Procivis has taken a strategic decision to use its expertise to develop its own all-in-one solution for decentralized digital identities and credentials, since existing solutions on the market did not fully meet the requirements for flexibility and scalability.

Since 2021, Procivis Ltd. has been a subsidiary of Orell Füssli, which operates as a producer of physical security documents such as banknotes, Swiss passports, and driving licenses for decades, and is a trustworthy partner for authorities. Orell Füssli is a financially strong, broad-based group of companies with 500 years of experience and the Swiss National Bank (SNB) as anchor shareholder.

In recent years, we have gained extensive experience with use cases of decentralized digital identities in both the public and private sectors.

Procivis’ productive mobile government solutions have been successfully used for several years, for example in the city of Zug and the canton of Schaffhausen.

Inspired by the successful model of a digital society in Estonia,
Procivis was founded in 2017 with the aim of combining the success factors of the Estonian model with state-of-the-art technology and the unique democratic values of Switzerland.
